Jesus

never again miss the point while reading the bible

1. September 2016 by Simon

We can miss the point while reading the bible! We humans need inspiration, empowerment, knowledge, faith, hope, love. And then we read the bible and partly we might find those things there. But sometimes it just doesn’t work. Could it be that the main point of the bible is not a thing, but a person? Because if you look […]

How do I start reading the bible? What’s the best place?

15. August 2016 by Simon

When you start reading the bible for the first time from page one, you’ll quickly see: This is a large book. Is there a better way? The bible says about itself: 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God […]

Why Christians don't read the bible

Why we don’t read the bible, and what to do about it We Christians claim the bible is the word of God. But why don’t we don’t we read the bible? A picture like the one above is quite improbable. Our bibles are closed. Here are a few ideas why, and what to do about them. […]

Summer of Psalms | Psalm 8

21. Juli 2015 by Simon

We are worshipers. And if we don’t worship God, we will worship something else. We humans are natural born worshipers. The question is never «IF» we will worship. It is „WHO» or „WHAT» we will worship. Worship means to give worth to something. So we humans will always talk about what we like, talk about what we […]

Love in Action | love compels

22. Juni 2015 by Simon

2 Cor 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died. Our decisions have different triggers and motivational drives behind it. So if Paul says, that Love compels him, how does it look like, when Love is the driving force behind […]

Calling C3ZH Kids! Live God’s Way: In Ephesians 4 Calling C3ZH Kids! Live God’s Way: In Ephesians 4 and 6, Paul teaches children and families what it looks like to live as followers of Jesus. We learn that our words can build others up, our obedience honors God, and God gives us spiritual armor to help us stand strong.
Across these three lessons, we want our children to discover that following Jesus affects the way we speak, obey, and stand strong in faith and that the way we live has a huge impact on the people around us.
See you this Sunday.

Last Sunday, in our first message from the Sermon Last Sunday, in our first message from the Sermon Series, Our Everyday - Our daily bread 🍞

When we pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” we are learning to trust God for our everyday needs - one day at a time.

Personal: What are you most anxious about right now? Have you brought it to the Father as “daily bread,” or are you trying to handle it on your own?

Community: Who in our church family needs provision this week? Who might God be asking you to share your “bread” with?

Throughout your day, pause and pray: “Father, give us this day our daily bread.” Notice how it shifts you from self-reliance to dependence.

See you on site or online today as we continue with “Forgive us our debts, as we also forgiven our debtors”.
