a new shirt – new self – renewed community

6. February 2017 by Simon

God wants to give us a new self outlet, by changing us on the inside

I had this favorite shirt, I called my “first impression flannel”. It was part of my new self. It was so soft, warm, still quite cool, so I would wear it as much as I could. One day, a student in school even asked me: “Is there a day you are NOT wearing that shirt?” After a […]

never again miss the point while reading the bible

1. September 2016 by Simon

We can miss the point while reading the bible! We humans need inspiration, empowerment, knowledge, faith, hope, love. And then we read the bible and partly we might find those things there. But sometimes it just doesn’t work. Could it be that the main point of the bible is not a thing, but a person? Because if you look […]

How do I start reading the bible? What’s the best place?

15. August 2016 by Simon

When you start reading the bible for the first time from page one, you’ll quickly see: This is a large book. Is there a better way? The bible says about itself: 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God […]

Why Christians don't read the bible

Why we don’t read the bible, and what to do about it We Christians claim the bible is the word of God. But why don’t we don’t we read the bible? A picture like the one above is quite improbable. Our bibles are closed. Here are a few ideas why, and what to do about them. […]

invisible – faith is seeing the unseen

4. February 2016 by Simon

I’m currently reading Hebrews 11 as a guideline to read the mentioned Stories. I am rocked at how much faith has to do with seeing the invisible. You know the verse: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1, ESV) Grace is what God offers us […]

Rhythms of Grace – Rest

18. January 2016 by Simon

Grace as Rest in Work instead of from Work

Rest and Grace Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me — watch how I do it. Learn the UNFORCED RHYTHMS OF GRACE. I won’t lay anything heavy […]

Hey C3 Zurich Kids! This month we will learn tha Hey C3 Zurich Kids!

This month we will learn that God’s love never changes, that our thoughts matter, that our friendships should reflect kindness, and that following God is like training for an important race.
We want to learn to live according to God’s will, from the simplest things
to the most complex.

See you this Sunday and bring a friend. #c3zurich #wearec3 #c3zhkids #sundayschool #c3europe

The story of Joseph is more than a moral tale abou The story of Joseph is more than a moral tale about perseverance and forgiveness. As he moves from
beloved son to rejected brother, from pit to prison to palace, the gospel story of Jesus is quietly rehearsed in his life.

Join us in this nine-week series, ECHOES, as we walk through Genesis 37–50 and discover how Joseph's life reveals different facets of Christ: the beloved Son, the betrayed brother, the suffering servant, the exalted Savior, and the Lord who turns evil into good.
The series culminates during the Holy Week, where we see Joseph's story fully realized in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
