We are worshipers.
\nAnd if we don’t worship God, we will worship something else.
\nWe humans are natural born worshipers.
\nThe question is never «IF» we will worship.
\nIt is\u00a0\u201eWHO» or\u00a0\u201eWHAT» we will worship.<\/p>\n

Worship means to give worth to something.<\/p>\n

So we humans will always talk about what we like, talk about what we love,
\nsing songs about the things we are endeared of.<\/p>\n

And if we don’t worship God, we will worship something else.
\nBut if we worship God, we will free ourselves from worshiping something that is of a far lesser worth.<\/p>\n

What really draws into worship, is to see the worth of something.
\nI’ve been at the exposition in Lenzburg about money.
\nThey were little shrines with pieces of worth.
\nA Louis Vuitton handbag. A real one.
\nAnd you could listen to the explanation of someone who would pay for 2,5 thousand francs for that handbag.
\nThere was also a really expensive bottle of wine.
\nAnd I heard the explanation why this Bottle was worth the Fr. 40,000.
\nI saw the worth of those things through the eyes of the people who see the value those things have.<\/p>\n

How about we read the Psalms to see the endless worthiness God has, because we se Him with the eyes of David?<\/p>\n

To the choirmaster:according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.
\n1 O Lord, our Lord,
\nhow majestic is your name in all the earth!
\nYou have set your glory above the heavens.
\n2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
\nyou have established strength because of your foes,
\nto still the enemy and the avenger.
\n3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
\nthe moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
\n4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
\nand the son of man that you care for him?
\n5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
\nand crowned him with glory and honor.
\n6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
\nyou have put all things under his feet,
\n7 all sheep and oxen,
\nand also the beasts of the field,
\n8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
\nwhatever passes along the paths of the seas.
\n9 O Lord, our Lord,
\nhow majestic is your name in all the earth!
\n(Psalms 8:1-9 ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So this short song has the same sentence at the beginning and at the end, and then in the middle there’s that huge revelation:
\nThe God over everything, the most powerful being over all existence shows his power through the weakness of man.<\/p>\n

When my son asks: Who is Gods Father?
\nI have to say: If God is God, nothing and nobody was before God.
\nHe just was, is, and always will be.
\nYaweh.<\/p>\n

He is the absolute reality.
\nNothing that exists, can be outside of His realm.
\nThere is no planet, no black hole,\u00a0no parallel universe, that is outside of what He is.
\nIt\u00a0came\u00a0into\u00a0being\u00a0by\u00a0God\u00a0and\u00a0stays\u00a0in\u00a0being\u00a0moment\u00a0by\u00a0moment\u00a0on\u00a0God\u2019s\u00a0decision\u00a0to\u00a0keep\u00a0it\u00a0in\u00a0being.
\nThe whole stars and planets and galaxies are like
\nan echo to his voice,
\nlike a drop to an ocean,
\nlike a shadow to a real figure that He is.<\/p>\n

and THIS God shows his strength by the weakness of man.
\nHe wins His battle not by coercing the powerful, but with empowering the weak.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, this is what happened at the cross.
\nThe weakness of God was stronger than all the powers of Darkness.
\nJesus overcame death, sin, sickness all the pain of this world, by becoming it.<\/p>\n

This is why later the writer of Hebrews sees Jesus in Psalm 8<\/a>:<\/p>\n

6 It has been testified somewhere,
\n\u201c What is man, that you are mindful of him,
\nor the son of man, that you care for him?
\n7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels;
\nyou have crowned him with glory and honor,
\n8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.\u201d
\nNow in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. 9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

If God put everything in subjection to Him, He is putting everything in subjection to the Jesus in me.
