Can you understand me?<br \/>\nBeing hidden in such a situation often means isolation.<br \/>\nThe same is true for the workplace, the media, etc&#8230;:<\/p>\n<p>People stop at nothing to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal of Paul here is more than countercultural. It is literally out of this world.<br \/>\nInstead to strive for recognition, position and influence, we treasure being hidden with Christ in God.<br \/>\nWe get buried with Christ.<\/p>\n<p><b>By\u00a0faith we see that we are not hidden from God, but in Him<\/b><\/p>\n<p>And we know that deep down in the ground, out of a piece of carbon,\u00a0He can\u00a0create a diamond.<\/p>\n<p>And we rise with Him again.<\/p>\n<p>Peter puts it this way:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,<br \/>\n(1 Peter 5:6 ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I pray you have the courage this week to trust that He sees you.<br \/>\nTo not fight for recognition, because He fights for you.<\/p>\n<p>Simon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
